Scholls and Friends Cruise Europe on Tauck

The Scholls, the Godshalks, Carol Buzilow and Elisabeth Bolster at dinner on the Tauck River Boat, “Treasures” in December 2011.  The boat traveled down the Rhine River and we visited numerous Christmas Markets.  We had a wonderful trip and Tauck does a First Class job for their guests.  We are looking forward to more trips with them.  Patty made all the reservations, and with her careful attention to details, our trip was A+++.  Thanks Patty

Hank and Donna Visit Greece and Italy

Hi Patty,

Our trip to the Greek Islands, the Adriatic and Italy was incredible.  You did a phenomenal job planning all the details that made us feel secure on our travels throughout the area.  Your choice of hotels was excellent, not only in services and décor, but also in location.  All the details for the flights, trains, and cars worked out beautifully.  What can I say about the tours and guides.  I have had many guides over the years, but all of our guides on this trip were excellent. Two in particular were absolutely outstanding.  The first was the guide in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.  Unfortunately, I can’t remember her name, but she was like having our own art history professor.  The other was Niccolo, who was our guide of the Coliseum and the Forum in Rome. His knowledge and love of history, architecture, art, and Latin brought these historic sites to life.  The Day in Tuscany tour was one of the highlights of the trip as well.  All in all, a once-in-a-life time trip.  Thank you for making it happen so well.

The Kirk’s Trip to Europe

We really enjoyed our vacation in Rome, followed by a 10 day Mediterranean Cruise. Our trip was from 9/26 to 10/10. We were so impressed with the longevity of the places we visited and were so pleased with the results of the planning that went into the trip. Patty Jefferis did a wonderful job! Everything went so smoothly and we felt so secure. Patty scheduled tours and drivers for us and it all went like clockwork. The drivers and guides were all waiting for us at the appropriate times and in the places she described to us. It started when we got off the plane, got our luggage, walked a short distance and there stood a driver with a sign with our name. He was there to drive us to our hotel. In the last port, Naples, we had a private tour and after we got off the ship, we walked a short distance and there was our tour guide with a sign for us. We were to meet him at 8 am and he had been there since 6:30 am. We used Shore Trips in Naples and we saw so much, thanks to them. There were only six of us on the tour in a 9 passenger van. We visited Positano, Sorrento and Pompeii, all in the same day. While we toured Pompeii the tour guide went to the grocery store and bought cheese for us to take home. We would recommend this itinerary and time of year. In most places we were told we chose the best time to visit because it was not hot or crowded. We visited Athens, Rhodes, Santorini and Mykonos in Greece; Sicily and Naples in Italy and Kusadasi (Ephesus) in Turkey.

Millers in Italy

Anna,

Just wanted to thank you for setting us up with a great trip to Italy.  The trip was everything you said it would be and then some.  We had a great time, met some nice people, the hotels were top of the line, the bus trip was excellent, and as you described Tauck was over the top.  Our tour director name was Andrea, if there is any feedback that you give Tauck regarding the tour director, please give him the highest praises you can give.  He was above and beyond the call of duty and helped us in every way possible, making our trip even more enjoyable. Our favorite places were Bellagio, Venice and Siena in that order and we really enjoyed the Hotel Danieli in Venice. We are really looking forward to seeing the other half of Italy maybe next year.

Thanks again!!

Morris’ in Italy

Hi Anna: Just want to let you know that we had a lovely trip to Italy, despite the very hot weather. It was 90 degrees and humid in Rome. Over the whole country it was the hottest early autumn in 50 years. However, after we got over our initial tiredness, we managed very well. Our bus was only six months old and was very large and extremely comfortable. Our driver and tour guide, Giuseppe,  were the absolute best and so were the local guides. I don’t know if you are aware that there were 51 people on our tour so it was no easy job for Giuseppe to keep all the details in order, especially keeping us all on time.

Our friends have asked us “What was the absolute favorite thing you saw or did?” It is impossible to answer because every day we saw and did what we thought would be our favorites. We loved all the cities, the basilicas, the ruins, the magnificent lakes, the tours of the leather and glass industries and their gorgeous showrooms, our gondola ride, and the lovely hotels and last, but not least, the special dinners – particularly the dinner at the Lemoncello farm. I could go on, Anna, but I’m sure you have heard all this before from your satisfied clients.

Thank you again for your help in arranging this special trip.

Angela Morris.

Sarah and Robert Relax in Bermuda

Hi Patty,

Had a wonderful time! Perfect weather, swimming was great.  They’d done some work on the Rosedon so it was even better than before.  I forgot to mention that we did get our room and it had been repainted, new curtains and a bottle of chardonnay chilling in a bucket upon our arrival.  Thanks again for helping us plan a relaxing getaway!

California Coast Roadtrip

Hi Jennifer,

We’re back.  Best road trip ever!  It was all I was looking for and even more. The scenery was breath taking. We ate our way down the coast at delicious restaurants.  And the accommodations were wonderful.   We loved the Argonaut and The Ventana Inn.  The Madonna Inn was a hoot – Abby wants to have her wedding there. I highly recommend the Intercontinental in Monteray. And my personal favorite of all was the Montage of Beverly Hills.  We had made advanced reservations for dinner at Bouchon in Beverly Hills and it ended up being right next door to the Montage.  The Inn Of Spanish Gardens in Santa Barbara was wonderful, great location.  I just wonder if they are under new management.  No one seemed to know what was going on.  The owner didn’t know the names of the streets.  The rooms were beautiful.  We were upgraded at two of the hotels.  The car rental was the only hitch.  And it was no big thing.   The reason I called was the Thrifty guy in SF was being such a knit wit about the whole thing.  I just wanted to know if the car was pre paid before I rented a new car.  It turned out fine – we ended up with a Crown Victoria.  Nash had plenty of head room.  We looked like under cover cops.  So, thank you Jennifer.  We all kept saying the whole time, what a great job you did.  I’ve already planned the next trip – San Diego, La Jolla, Laguna, and then hop to Los Cabos.

Best regards,

Aventura Spa Palace

Hi Anna,

Thank you, thank you, thank you! The trip was AMAZING. EVERYTHING was perfect. We had a great time and look forward to going back there again in the future. The hotel was beautiful and extremely clean. The food was delicious, the drinks, were pretty good, and hospitality was impeccable. We did 2 spa days and their facilities were relaxing. We did the EXPLOR experience (not included in the resort credits, but worth every penny). We visited Tulum (Mayan ruin) which was HOT but very cool. The dolphin experience was nice and even got a chance to ride one.  Other than many great days by the pool or snorkeling, we loved every second of the trip. The steakhouse and the Asian restaurants were by far the best places to have dinner.

Thanks for steering us to the best vacation we ever had. It was truly an unforgettable experience!

Thanks again,
Jim

Alvarez Family visits Paws Up

Hi Patty
I just sent some pics from our amazing week in Montana !  You have outdone yourself again.
We enjoyed every moment at the Paws Up Resort. The house was incredible, rustic and so well appointed
that you could not “want” for a thing. We felt as though we were the only ones there, yet mysteriously they
managed housekeeping and turndown service each day without us ever seeing a staff member enter the house.
The owner of the resort was Nadine, and she was always visible at meals, checking to see that we were having a fantastic
time. The food was great and we laughed saying that everyone at the resort only knows one response to any question
you ask…” YES”. We went ballooning,  hiking,   white water kayaking ,  private horse riding and lessons with
the resort wranglers, ATV ing, watched a barrel racing event w barbeque and cocktails, and of course the cattle drive which was
a 3 1/2 hour mock drive of 50 head of cattle.
There was wildlife everywhere . An abundance of deer, bald eagles nested in the front , a bull moose made an appearance and there
was a mt lion on property but we missed him.
Most of all Patty, we relaxed and laughed. We had adventure and physical challenges for all, saw beautiful Montana, read books
at night by the fireplace. We all agreed that it was our best vacation yet, and it was because you had every detail
down for us before we left.
There are no words to express the gratitude for time spent with our girls and my brother, Jeff. Thank you for arranging our
trip, for the suggestion of Paws Up, and for working tirelessly to get our flights, car, reservations etc , all pulled together in
what, 3 weeks? You are the BEST.
Let me know if anyone ever has questions to take the same trip. I would be happy to help. BTW, we met people in the
“tents ” for glamping…it is beautiful but different. The resort also has many excursions for serious backcountry
fishing or hunting…crazy 11 hours into the deep woods on horses etc. They are now offering a 5 level whitewater
rafting Gorge” trip too, but u have to be very experienced and I believe half nuts. I know that on occasion you may have requests.

Thank you Pat
